Meet Dr. WinterI began at a young age to develop an interest in the dental field. My own positive experiences with my dentist encouraged my desire to select dentistry as my chosen profession. After graduating from Eisenhower High School , in Shelby Township, I entered Eastern Michigan University on a full scholarship graduating Summa Cum Laude.
University of Michigan, a most prestigious dental school , invited me to attend their dental program.; a welcome challenge. After four years of attending this highly regarded honors dental program, I received special recognition for my performance with crowns and bridges which to this day continues to be the hallmark of my practice.
Eagerly I began practicing my passion, dentistry. Throughout my twenty four years in practice my philosophy is to provide excellent dental care, with the patients comfort always in mind.
To provide updated care for my patients many continuing education programs have and continue to be attended. I attended the Residency Program in Implantology, by the esteemed Dr. Carl Misch and was awarded my fellowship in August of 1990,. I remain a member in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dentistry is not only for me an excellent profession but an interesting business. This aspect of my career lead me to attend the executive Masters of Business Administration Program at Pepperdine University in California. A most rewarding addition to my resume. The information acquired through this program was most beneficial in managing my practice. I welcome each and every patient to my exceptional office. You will receive excellent care, not only by myself, but my caring team members. Call and become a member of our ever expanding dental family.
When not practicing dentistry, at my office, I enjoy several outdoor activities; including skiing in the challenging mountains of Aspen and Utah. My personal favorite sport is soccer, which I have been playing for 25 years and continue to play. In the summer months you might catch me on the tennis courts or golf course attempting to emulate my admired professionals, Roger Federe and Phil Michkelson; falling sadly short to the point of being humorous at times. Sand traps seem to be a favorite.
Experiencing cultures of other countries thru my travels abroad has been very interesting and memorable. Speaking the additional languages of French and German has helped in my travels and has benefited my practice as well.
Being a sports enthusiast, I follow football, hockey and basketball. I eagerly look forward to the yearly rivalry of my favorite college football event; the Michigan State, University of Michigan, my alma mater, game. Oddly enough at that time, man of my longstanding patients come in for their appointments in a variety of green and white jerseys bearing a Spartan figure. A coincidence??? I think not. My greeting and motto remain GO GOLD and BLUE.
Respectfully,
Dr. H. Karl Winter
